Photography 🢒 Hong Kong 1998-2003

A south-facing point of Lamma Island. In the background beyond the ships, on the left, you can just make out another landmass on the horizon. I think that would Dangan Island, in the PRC.
I'm never quite sure whether to include photos like this one in these galleries. On one hand, it doesn't showcase any unusual feature and, to me, only looks mildly atmospheric at best. On the other hand, after years living there I became accustomed to the views and could forget that some things which seemed ordinary were more interesting to other people.
I included this one to illustrate a point about Hong Kong that's worth repeating: people tend to think of it as a single big city, but most of the territory is actually countryside like that here.
